In Luke 4:14-30 Jesus begins His teaching ministry by the power of the Holy Spirit but many would reject Him and the teachings He brought.  Christ proclaimed that He will bring good news to the poor, sight to the blind and set the oppressed free. Jesus is proclaiming the year of the Lord’s favour found in Him. As His followers,  we can receive the truth of the gospel fulfilled in Him and carry the good news of Jesus to all poor, the blind and the oppressed.
